How To Apply For Camp America

  • Applications via our online system are our only method of application. This allows instant access to your application by your interviewer, by the UK Office and by camps. It also allows you to login at any time and check your application status (real-time).
  • Applications have closed apart from the following skill list. There is an extension till March 15 for these high demand skills below **

We are still accepting application for those with the following skills....

 
  • Woodwork
  • Hardcore outdoor skills – (very experienced scouts/guides and DOE etc)
  • Water Ski
  • Motorboat Driving 
  • Archery
  • Male Christians with early availability (June 1)
  • Tennis – qualified only/coaches
  • Horse riding – males, 21+, Western Style
  • Ropes – qualified
  • Golf – strong skills
  • Fencing – 21+
  • Sailing – Males
  • Piano – able to accompany musicals rather than teach
  • Stained Glass
  • Batik 

 

 

 

The following job areas will remain open if;

 

 

  • Outdoor Cooking – Must be an experienced scout
  • Overnight Camping – Must be an experienced scout
  • Qualified teacher (4-16 years) – Must be 21 and over and be a qualified teacher (not a youth worker)
  • Swimming – Only will accept those applicants with experience in teaching swimming and swimming competitions
  • Batik - highly skilled applicants
  •  



Online application instructions

  1. Have a good look through our website. Expectation vs Reality gaps can cause you to be disappointed further down the line. Know what you are applying for now (not later).
  2. Ensure you have read the website so you know what you are applying for - please see the What you Pay and What you Get pages for pocket money and fees.
  3. Check you meet the criteria and the reference criteria and that you agree to our terms and conditions.
  4. Request a NZ brochure if you have not yet done so.
     
  5. Click on www.mycampamerica.com - you will be prompted to complete a brief registration. This is our UK Head Office application centre where your application will end up before the camps see it. You may need to tell your computer to Trust the Security Certificate for this site as it it a secure server.
  6. Your password will be sent to your email account. Contact us here in NZ if you don't receive it - it may have gone to your SPAM or JUNK folder. Check your Junk folders if you have not received it in 5 minutes.
  7. Log In and complete the Application For Interview. You can log out at anytime and the information will be saved. Just complete the form and then SUBMIT it when you are ready.
     
  8. From there you Choose a Local Interviewer and can log on at any time to see what tasks you have outstanding.
  9. You must pay your application fee online (it is a secure site) - this is refunded if you do not pass your interview or we do not find you a job or guarantee you a job by June 15 31, 2010.
  10. After your interview you can log in at any time and see what the current real time status of your application is.
