Non VIPs 

(not yet applied or interviewed locally by a Camp America Interviewer by Jan 7th)

  • $350.00 (cash or bank cheque made payable to Camp America, or bring your creditcard to pay online). This is your application fee - refunded if you are unsuccessful or we don't place you by June 30th 2018. If you are not placed with a camp at the Fair we will place you in the regular way with the rest of the camps all over USA (1000 camps) *
  • Photo ID
  • Any certificates (lifeguard, swim-coach, etc, not your NCEA results) if you have any, to show camps
  • Any photos of you doing your activity/skill if you have them to show camps
  • References if you have them to show the camps
  • Not your parents - leave them at home - you're applying to go to America and you're parents are not going with you, so start today with that maturity level.
  • Big smile and lose the caps, sunnies and gum - this is a job application interview. 
  • Your awesome personality - the camps and us both want to see how awesome you are - try not to be nervous. 
  • Print out of your application if you have started it online via www.mycampamerica.com this can be a good way to get you started talking about your skills. Some camps will want to see it before meeting with you. 
  • Arrive between at 12.20 if you can; for the Info Session then processing before meeting camps.  
  • Your Camp America Bus Ticket if you are booked to catch our Fair airport transfer bus. 

​*if not placed on the day we will organise your Camp America screening interview - part will be done face to face at the fair and the rest by skype. You will meet your interviewer on the day. If you are placed with a Fair on the day you save yourself our interview.

VIP's  - you have applied and been interviewed already - here's what to bring

  • Arrive anytime after 11am
    Print out of your application
    via www.mycampamerica.com this can be a good way to get you started talking about your skills. Some camps won't see you without this.
  • Your Camp America Airport Shuttle Ticket if you need a ride from the airport to the venue and back (9am/5pm departures). No ticket no ride. 
  • Photo ID​
  • any photos of you doing your activity/skill if you have them - camps may not have access to your online application on the day. 
  • References if you have some written ones relating to your skills to show camps
  • Not your parents - leave them at home - you have applied to go to America and you're parents are not going with you, so start today with that maturity level.
