Wellington Equine Skills Certificate

Brush up on your skills and knowledge and increase chances of selection into your Camp America dream program with this Equine Skills Certificate.
This three day course will build confidence by working with our qualified instructors and amazing horses & ponies. We have outdoor trails, an indoor arena and top class facilities. The NZ Certificate in Assistant Outdoor Leadership is a national qualification developed by Skills Active.
This qualification is a step towards working in the outdoor recreation, outdoor education, summer camp and adventure tourism industries.
This aim of this course is to prepare students to be able to assist to lead outdoor recreation, education and adventure tourism activities.
It focuses on:
- Leadership skills
- Technical skills including a ropes course, mountain bike and tramping
- Risk management for group and outdoor activities
- Group management for working with children/youth
- Facilitation skills for working with children/youth
It is free but it is full time and you'd be done in time for camp. Early February 2020 intake.
